Open a Business as an Accountant or Bookkeeper

If you want to be a bookkeeper or accountant there is no requirement to have any professional qualifications, you will, however, need to have the skills to diligently carry out the tasks for your clients. It is an ideal business that you can start with minimal overheads and startup costs and work from home. With social media as a marketing platform you can even reduce the advertising costs that would normally be associated with a start up business of this kind.

It is a very viable business prospect and I have opened accountancy practices from home in the past and made some very good incomes in the past. I’m not saying it’s easy to do so but a very worthwhile business with a good income, low overheads and good residual sales value when you wish to exit the business.

Clients once you have obtained them normally stay with you for many years which makes the acquisition cost of the clients very low when you consider the length of time you can do their work.

If you’re looking for a small business, low startup costs flexible, low overheads, high-profit margins and easy manageable from home then this could be a good option for you.
